Many people think that project management applies only to construction. But projects come in many shapes and sizes – hiring staff, building a new website, launching a new product/service, installing machinery or working in improvement teams. In fact any piece of work to achieve a specific objective, in a limited amount of time, with limited resources that must run smoothly can be a project.

  • Describe the phases and benefits of the Project Life Cycle
  • Define the roles within a project of the Project Manager, Owner, Team and Stakeholders and associated organisational matters.
  • Develop a project plan including:
  • Collecting and clarifying Requirements
  • Agreeing the project Scope
  • Creating a dependable Work Breakdown Structure
  • Estimating time and resource requirements
  • Developing an effective Communications Plan
  • Managing Risk appropriately
  • Monitor and control the execution of a project
  • Cope with change
  • Close out and review for future improvements

Who should attend?

This event has been designed to help busy managers who don’t necessarily have Project Manager in their job title. However they are increasingly being expected to manage projects both large and small while delivering ‘more with less’.
